“As the end of the summer has come, so have some big transitions. Friends of my youngest son (17) are headed off to college. His very best friend his entire life is also named Matthew and is the son of one of my closest friends. He is a year older and when I found out I was having a boy, I told my friend that I wanted to name my son Matthew too. I said, “It’s not like they will be friends.” Well they have been as close as brothers and today he came to say good-bye. They hugged and promised to video chat (the new coolest thing ever). I have loved this boy like a son and I was very choked up to send him off. For his graduation I had a silver pendent made with his initials engraved and he says he never takes it off. I feel like he is taking a bit of us with him. Hopefully he will feel our love and support…..”

Mary Beth’s fans collectively have now raised $4502 for The Bay’s Kickstarter Fund!!! Please give!! There’s only 4 more days left to donation. The Bay is at $11, 717 now. We need less than $4000 to meet the goal of $15,000!!! You can also give individually and many have done that also.

Just a reminder that Mary Beth has agreed to take the top two contributors out to dinner on September 25th (the weekend of the event for her and Stephen). If you aren’t in LA then she has agreed to call the winner(s). Everyone who gives $5 will receive an autographed photo of Mary Beth. We are also drawing for two The Bay signed posters.

As I previously blogged about, my oldest son Danny went to Korea to teach English (the subject) for a year. He knew no one and went alone. As usual he had to completely drive me insane this summer before he left. Maybe we will chock it up to needing to “separate” from his parents, but the time had come to be on his own. He was anxious and ready to get the ball rolling, albeit nervous!…..

From Gregori J. Martin: “The Bay has been approved for broadcast television in 19 countries in Europe, including the UK, Spain, Italy, France, Sweden & more! We are also in talks for an additional television distribution deal that can put us in over 25 millions homes throughout the US. Keep in mind that THE BAY The Series will always be available as a web series online as well. An iPhone App will be available shortly of “Confessions” and the upcoming episodes, premiering Sept 15th.”

Filming CBS’s “Criminal Minds”

Mary Beth is shooting an episode of the CBS police drama, Criminal Minds. The series follows a team of profilers from the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) at Quantico, Virginia. Criminal Minds differs from many procedural dramas by focusing on the criminal rather than the crime itself.

To encourage fans to give to The Bay’s Kickstarter Fundraiser for the Season Finale we will give away a The Bay poster autographed by most of the cast. For every $5 you give we will add your name to the pot. Give $5 and you have one chance, give $25 and you have 5 chances and so on. The more you give the better chance you get to win the poster. We also have someone who will match up to $1000 the money given so PLEASE join in the fun! Use Paypal and mark gift so no fees will be taken out and submit to MBEWebsite@aol.com. Drawing will be on September 4th at 12 noon PDT. ALL money will be given to the Kickstarter fund.
